Appropriate Preposition

  • Fit for ( যোগ্য ) He is not fit for the job.
  • Favourable to ( অনুকূল (ব্যক্তি) ) This situation is favourable to me for doing this.
  • Pleased with ( সন্তুষ্ট ) I am pleased with him.
  • Aim at ( লক্ষ্য করা ) He aimed his gun at he bird.
  • Rob of ( অপহরণ করা ) Somebody robbed him of his purse.
  • Control over ( নিয়ন্ত্রণ ) He has no control over his brother.
  • Bad blood ( মনোমালিন্য ; শত্রতা ; দ্বেষ ) Now there is bad blood between the two brothers.
  • Bosom friend ( অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু ) Rifat is my bosom friend.
  • Out of sorts ( ঈষৎ অসুস্থ ) He is out of sorts now.
  • a bad apple ( কোনো একটা দলের সব ভালোর মধ্যে খারাপ বা মন্দটা ) In any group of average citizens there are bound to be a few bad apples.
